ALBA-Roche Research Prize for Excellence in Neuroscience

AC02 - Award ceremony

Awarded through a partnership between the ALBA Network and Roche, this annual prize, being launched in 2024, recognises mid-career scientists from underrepresented backgrounds whose research may improve our understanding of the causal mechanisms of brain diseases. 

The 2024 winner is Dr Mootaz Salman (University of Oxford, UK).

NE19 - Networking Event

Through insightful discussions in roundtables led by our experts, participants will learn how a deeper understanding of the systemic aspects of this phenomenon can aid in its deconstruction.

ALBA-Elsevier Award Lecture on Brain Sciences

SL10 - Special Lecture / Award Lecture

Supported by Elsevier, this award recognises yearly research achievements of outstanding quality by an active scientist working at the frontiers of brain research, particularly in countries underrepresented among neuroscience publications and conferences.

Special lectures by Dr Agustin Ibañez (Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Chile & Trinity College Dublin, Ireland) - 2023 Winner, and Dr Limei Zhang (University of Mexico School of Medicine, Mexico) - 2024 Winner.

ALBA-FKNE Diversity Prize 2024

AC04 - Award ceremony

The ALBA-FKNE Diversity Prize, presented jointly by the ALBA Network and the FENS-Kavli Scholars, seeks to recognise a scientist who has made outstanding contributions to promoting equality and diversity in brain sciences. 

The 2024 winner will be announced at the prize ceremony.
