The Network

ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. We currently have 1890 individual members from 91 countries.

I joined ALBA because :
I got acquainted with Alba network in FENS2022. I fully agree with what the network stands for, and I believe through such networks one can at least address and discuss the most common obstacles in careers of many neuroscientists. For women and researchers coming from third world countries it's ten times worse.

Electrophysiology (channels)
Electrophysiology (slow waves)
I joined ALBA because :
I am a PHD Scholar studying neuropsychological correlates of monochromatic blue light, specifically theta activity generating sources and the pathway it follows which is influenced by various endogenous and exogenous factors. I want to join ALBA to connect to scientists and students working in the field of neurosciences worldwide and work along with the teams to broaden my horizon of understanding in the brain research areas and can work more efficiently. I want to keep myself actively involved in it and be updated of the groundbreaking researches which would, in turn, help me work better in this field.

I joined ALBA because :
I am very much fascinated by studding the foundational bases of higher cognition and the exceptional power of the neurodiversity population. Neuroscience advancements open the door wide to nourish my passion and excitement in relation to unleashing the bases after human behaviors and attitudes. ALBA membership will help me in finding opportunities and resources to increase my knowledge. ALBA's network is ideal for exchanging experiences and scientific collaborations. ALBA's initiatives are the best of kind to keep me near the field that I admire.

I joined ALBA because :
During my PhD in Croatia, I have become more sensible about advocating for mental health of researchers, especially for young people just entering the academia. So my hope is to try and work on this issue with Alba network. Also, since my university doesn't have high resources for attending international conferences, I want to try to apply for travel grants and stipends offered by Alba.
