ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. As a neuroscientist and member of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA), I am passionate about promoting equity and diversity in the brain researches. My dedication to amplifying the voices of women and underrepresented groups in (neuro)science aligns closely with ALBA Network's mission to reduce bias, foster inclusion, and provide professional development opportunities. Joining the ALBA Network would allow me to further advocate for best practices, facilitate collaboration, and contribute to a more equitable scientific community alongside like-minded individuals.

Neuroscience is a brand new, growing field in Ecuador. As it is a third world country, developing a research area comes with many challenges, especially as a woman, and joining ALBA is a good opportunity to be a member of a network for support, inspiration and collaboration worldwide.
